Man stabbed in neck after defending his wife from attack

I've posted before about the increasing problems caused by the mentally ill at liberty, and it's hard to imagine how another incident in Playa Paraiso yesterday afternoon isn't connected with the general trend. Guardia Civil officers have taken into custody a 49-year-old Armeñime man for wounding after he attacked a 35-year-old Adeje man, stabbing him in the neck with a pen. The attack started when the assailant began insulting and then hitting a woman who was taking photographs of the view. Her husband rushed to her defence but, after a struggle, was stabbed in the neck. He was taken to a hospital in the south where his wound received stitches. The aggressor is now being processed.  JA
