Jellyfish have again closed a Tenerife beach. The Santa Cruz PolicĂa Local have said that a red warning flag is now flying over Las Teresitas, and that bathers are advised not to go into the water. The alert was raised around 2pm after around 15 people had been treated by the Red Cross for stings. By 5pm that number had risen to 20. JAA

This conjures up a weird image. If they closed the beach at 2.00, how come later the number of people treated for stings was increasing? I think they should include the warning sign "and we shall not attend idiots who disobey this notice".

Nonononononononono ....

if the stings started, say, at 1.50 and they closed the beach almost immediately, then there would have been 15 stings within ten minutes. And then for the next three hours, only 5 idiots needed attention ....

:P
