This is the walk that I was planning last time but changed at the last minute due to the weather. As before, I will be setting off from the same parking spot in Valle de Arriba at 10am. If you fancy coming along, the walk is around five hours long and visits Montaña Negra, site of the 1706 Garachico eruption and Montaña Chinyero, site of the last eruption on the island. Please let me know if you are interested.

Perikles

Please count me in! This time, I'll bring some clothes with me. All of them, in fact.

Myrtle Hogan-Lance

We're considering it and will confirm/deny shortly.  You can bet your bottom dollar that if we come, we will have even more clothes than Perikles!

Thanks Gary.

I've done the walk since the 1st December and the group were all dressed in shorts and T-shirts. I'm hoping for a similar day on the 19th!

I think I can fairly safely say that I will be coming along on this little stroll.

Looks good ..... lots of recently erupted stuff .... that's always the prettiest.

We're planning on it unless disaster strikes.

Seven walkers in total yesterday for the walk and it seems that we are destined not to walk in this area in fine weather. Having said that, apart from a bit of drizzly rain around the high point of the walk, it wasn't bad at all really. I know Myrtle will probably disagree though! Here's a link to a few photos from the walk: http://on.fb.me/VegFRf

Nova

You'd think you could walk in Tenerife without being rained on!  :giggle:  Great photos, I'm sorry I couldn't make it.  I will come on one soon, I promise  :great:
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

Perikles

I can't see the pics  :017: No matter, I was there, and the weather really wasn't that bad. Thanks for organizing it, Gary!

Janet

Can everyone else see the pics ... is it the anti'spam measure, or because he's not registered with FB, that means Perikles can't see them?

Lovely photos, Gary
