The dole offices are becoming automated here. To sign on each month all you have to do is present your thumb print on to a machine in the unemployment office and you get the dole the usual way. Gone are the staff that used to have to manually check your monthly claim.
Not sure how many have been made redundant but I am sure they knew this was coming. Saving money for the government but adding to the unemployment figures. Good or bad?
