Does anyone know what the diggers are doing on Las Vistas beach?  looks like quite a large job.

Disinfecting the sand maybe, ready for reopening the beach?  :undecided:

I believe someone has already been done for that...bearing in mind the sea comes in and washes it all back out with it, killing a load of marine life along the way...I can't remember where it was but I'm sure it was Spain..

I would think it is virus connected though. possibly creating defined areas and maybe extra hand wash facilities etc. It's quite a large area they have taped off.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that councils are required to disinfect the sand before beaches can reopen. Also don't forget Las Vistas is a man-made beach anyway, I don't think the tide comes in very far. If it did the sand wouldn't need cleaning...  I fully agree about the hazard to marine life but councils are already regularly flushing the streets with bleach or similar...

Oh yeah... I hadn't spotted that.

I've no idea what it is. It could be to stop any rafts full of Looky Looky men sneaking in at night I suppose? They would generally put these lines out to make things like jet skis stay in a certain boundary, but that's not happening any time soon..

I'm sure some expert will be along to tell us shortly.

Looks like a volleyball net now going up on Las Vistas. That's a good sign. I'm sure they're doing more than that though.. :2confused:
