The Pirámides de Güímar is a favourite venue of mine, an "ethnographic park" with an eye to the history, nature and geography of Tenerife. It has different sections, gardens, a museum, as well as those "pyramids", and a lovely atmosphere. If you haven't been, it's worth a visit, I think, and there is now the above promotional video to give a taste. JA

I second that Janet. We've been a couple of times and it's a nice educational walk. Good exhibitions and a coffee shop. If your going to Santa Cruz for a day out it's worth spending a couple of hours having a look. It's only about 10 min off the TF1. I'm sure residents get a discount can't remember how much so you may need your documentation and passport or other ID.
