A 59-year-old man was resuscitated after he suffered a cardiac arrhythmia while jogging yesterday afternoon in Palm Mar.  Thanks to the man's companion calling emergency services, medics were able to speak to the man himself and determine his condition from his symptoms and from the details of the pulsometer he was carrying. An ambulance was despatched immediately and meanwhile the SUC medical coordinator gave advice over the phone while help was on its way. Once on the scene, paramedics used a defibrilator which reversed the arrhythmia, and once they had stabilized the man, transferred him to Candelaria hospital where his condition is said to be developing favourably.
