Man killed in Cabo Blanco street brawl

A 46-year-old man died this afternoon in a fight in C/ Los Leones, Cabo Blanco, Arona. Emergency services say that they were called out shortly before 5pm with reports of the street brawl and indications that someone had been badly injured. On arrival, however, ambulance crew and local health centre personnel were unable to assist the injured man who had succumbed to his injuries. He was declared dead at the scene from stab wounds to the neck. The Guardia Civil is investigating the incident.

The Guardia Civil is investigating the incident, but police have already confirmed that the man, whose initials were MGM, was known locally as El Tajonero, and that the fight started in the home of his ex-partner who had a Court order requiring him to stay away from her. Apparently the fight was with another man who was in the dwelling at the time.
