A body was found in the Teide National Park this morning. The grim discovery was made at an altitude of 3,000m and the Guardia Civil and GES search and rescue teams have been involved in its recovery. There is some speculation that it could be the missing Tenerife athlete Victor Teni who disappeared while training in 2014, but there is no confirmation of the body's identity as yet.

I do hope so.  It would be nice to know that he has been found, and some closure for his family and friends.

The Instituto de Medicina Legal has now confirmed that it was indeed Victor whose body was found. Hopefully it will bring closure to his friends and family who have had nothing but uncertainty about his fate for so long.

Wow, 3 years?  That must be a relief to those who knew him. I remember you reporting the search parties!
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.
