European Volcanoes Night in Puerto de la Cruz

The Instituto Volcanológico de Canarias (Involcan) says that European Volcanoes Night, Friday, 29 September, will be an "eruption" of art, culture, music, gastronomy, school activities, geotourism, exhibitions and scientific debates. The event will bring the public together with vulcanologists so that they can ask questions of the experts in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

The event is dedicated to popularizing the discipline and making learning about volcanoes fun. Residents and tourists are welcome in Puerto de la Cruz this Friday for the Europe-wide event which will also be taking place elsewhere in Spain as well as in Hungary, Italy, France, Portugal, the UK and Cape Verde.
