Motorcyclist dies in collision with car on TF1 near Las Chafiras

A 40-year-old motorcyclist died this evening when his bike and a car collided on the northbound carriageway of the TF1 near Las Chafiras. Emergency services say that they were called out around 7pm with reports of the accident, in which the bike appears to have caught fire, but that despite all the efforts of paramedics to save his life, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
