Just a reminder that those of us who have left it until the last minute (again) only have one more week to submit the Declaración de la Renta for 2011.  I shall have to do mine this weekend  :inbox:

I hope I manage to get back some of the obscene amount Hacienda took off me during the year :38:

Ok, I've just gone through my borrador and added the 132 euros I paid to the sindicatos over the course of the year.  It's come up that I have to pay 12 euros!!!  Have you any idea how the hell that's possible, given that my colleagues are all receiving devoluciones?  What the hell have I done wrong?  Any ideas please?  :017:

have you had any bonuses they haven't? added in any prize values? quoted your extra payments when they don't??

Nova

No, I don't get bonuses anymore, and my "extra payments" are still only part of the annual salary.  The amount given on my borrador matches exactly the amount shown on my certificado de retenciones issued by my employer  :undecided:

Janet - are you any good at these things?  Do you know what you're looking for with them?

not in the least, I'm afraid. We always give the figures to Diana and let her get on with it.

I don't understand why, if your borrador is effectively the same as your colleagues', you should owe tax when they're getting a refund.  Something must be different ... :017:

Nova

Thanks :)

I've just confirmed the damn thing - at least it's done now  :-X  I compared with last year's when I had a refund of 149€ and I can't see anything that I've done differently.  It must be relevant, I guess, and it's the only difference between me and my colleagues, that my job changed in June last year, so as a result I was paid 2,000€ less in 2011 than in 2010, but paid 700€ less in tax.  They obviously think I should have paid more.... and it's only 12 euros when all's said and done  :ermm:
