"Supermoon" 24 hours of accidents in Tenerife

Some tabloids might say it's the supermoon, certainly the Express was prophesying the "end of times", but it's been a dreadful 24 hours in Tenerife for accidents! A 27-year-old man died around 6pm yesterday in a car and motorbike collision in Puerto de la Cruz; four occupants of a caravan were injured around 8pm when it plummeted from the road through Masca – thankfully none are in serious condition;  around 5am this morning a 19-year-old was taken to hospital with a broken leg after being attacked in Santa Cruz;  and another 25-year-old is in hospital in serious condition after coming off his bike around 9am this morning in El Tablero, Santa Cruz. The real full moon is tonight, apparently, so hopefully these are not connected because if they are, there'll be more to come! JA
