La Orotava farm tragedy as boy dies in grain silo

A ten-year-old boy died this evening after falling into a grain silo in La Orotava. The tragedy happened just before 9pm on a farm in Calle La Puente, and although the child's body had already been recovered by family when emergency services arrived, their efforts at resuscitation were fruitless and they could do nothing for him. He was declared dead at the scene. JA

We've had some horrific farming accidents here in the last couple of years.

In one incident 3 members of one family killed in a slurry pit.

Seems farming is even more dangerous than I thought.
