Driver cut out of vehicle and in serious condition after car crash near Callao Salvaje

A driver was seriously injured in a collision between two cars around 8.30 this morning near Callao Salvaje on the TF47 Adeje to Los Gigantes road. Bomberos were required at the scene to cut him free, and he was then taken to Candelaria hospital with multiple injuries where he remains in serious condition. A second person, said to be 36 years old, received chest injuries in the crash and was taken to Hospitén Sur, where his condition is said not to be serious. JA

Was the second guy taken to Hospiten Sur because he had insurance?

It will have been because he wasn't seriously injured ... both were probably taken there to begin with, but anyone with very serious injuries gets sent on to Candelaria.
