A new website, www.teleferico-teide.com, is now available for the Teide cable car. It will, however, provide much more, including allowing visitors to make reservations and buy tickets online, as well as arranging permits to climb to the summit, including an overnight stay at the Altavista Refuge. In addition, it has heaps of information about all aspects of the national park  to make a visit as informed as it can be, with walking route guides, climate and botanical information, advice, webcams, an image gallery, etc. A super resource. Was up there on Tuesday afternoon after closing time.  That car park is very eerie when it's empty - am so used to it being teeming with people.  :closet:

Janet would you know if an NIE certificate is ok for getting residents' prices? On the sign up there it says DNI required but the website says ID card or certificate attesting residence.  :017:

For what shall it profit a man, to gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his own soul?

Friends of ours were up there last week. They live here, and had a visiting friend with them. They reported that when they bought their tickets for the cablecar, the guy said OK - dos residentes y un adulto normal. That just about sums up Tenerife.  :cheesy:

As of last week, residents now need a Certificado de Empadronamiento as well.  :tiphat:
