Teleferico closed for maintenance

The Teleférico has announced that the Teide cable car will be closed from today until 17 June for maintenance works. They apologise for the inconvenience. JA

Nah, they just think I'm special....actually yes, I am, as a result of booking tickets via the website.

That's a strange logic - sending that information to all the people who have once had tickets. I would have thought that these are precisely the people who were least interested, because they have already been there and done that. Logically, they should have sent e-mail notification to everybody in the world except those on their list.

Yes, however, there could be people planning hikes and things which incorporated the Teleférico in their plans, so they would be very interested to know if they had to hike up or down a mountain they had not planned to.  Or, they could be people like us expecting visitors and planning to take them up to the top.
