It's here!  Despite emptying the old machine as much as I could it leaked water everywhere on the way out.  And of course the connections on the new one are not the same as the old one's so it's off to the ferretería.

Only two trips to the ferretería were needed.  It is running a test cycle now.  Everything seems in order!

Edit:  forgot to say that the manual says you can connect to the cold or hot water supply.  It says if the hot water comes from alternate energy sources, such as solar panels, to use the hot water supply to reduce energy consumption.  It is connected to the cold water now as that is how the plumbing was done for the old machine.  We may decide to change it some day.
