Man in serious condition after attack in Palm Mar

A 40-year-old man was seriously injured in an attack this afternoon in Palm Mar. The assault happened around 3pm in Calle El Gorrión, and after attending the scene, paramedics found the man with serious chest injuries. He was transferred to Hospiten Sur where he remains in serious condition. Calle El Gorrión is the road parallel to the main road opposite Flamingo. JA

I was there when the police and ambulance arrived about 3pm but I didn't know what it was about, I just saw someone lying down in the bar.
I had to go back at about 9:30pm and everyone was talking about it.
I know the guy, Spanish mainland, attacked with a stick by a local drunkard that everyone knows . . . . they'd been arguing.
He's OK in hospital, broken leg apparently.

Not a random attack in the street in broad daylight.
