Motorcyclist in hospital with serious injuries after accident in the Teide crater

A 33-year-old German motorcyclist is in hospital this evening with serious chest and stomach injuries after his motorbike left the road near the Teleférico in the Teide caldera just before 3pm. After being treated at the scene by paramedics, he was collected by a Canarian health service helicopter and transferred to HUC where he remains in a serious condition. JA
