Two-year-old child dies from head injuries

The details are sketchy but a little girl died in Tenerife just before noon today after hitting her head on a door in Chimiche, Granadilla. Emergency services were called when the 2-year-old was already being taken by car for medical treatment for head wounds: controllers asked that the driver should stop in the nearest petrol station in order to link up with paramedics. The child was transferred to ambulance at Fasnia on the TF1, and then taken at full speed to Candelaria hospital where, tragically, she died. The Guardia Civil have taken charge of the investigation.
