The 30th International Music Festival of the Canaries starts tomorrow, and the organizers are delighted to announce that the series starts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra – one of the best orchestras in the world! The concerts, all in the Auditorio de Tenerife Adán Martín in Santa Cruz, are as follows.

No matter how good an orchestra is (and this one is) I'm not paying €65 - €125 for a ticket. Who the hell are these people in Tenerife who could afford that, just for a concert?

I could buy lots of CDs for that, and not have to travel to Santa Cruz and sit amongst a load of coughing boiled-sweet eaters displaying their lack of taste in evening wear.
