December's Jamie Magazine to feature Tenerife

Tenerife's cuisine will be the star of December's issue of Jamie Magazine, with 11 pages in the famous chef Jamie Oliver's food publication. The island's gastronomy will be brought to a whole new audience, says president of the Cabildo Carlos Alonso, who confirmed that a journalist and photographer have been in Tenerife for several days, working with Turismo de Tenerife and Saborea Tenerife. Sr Alonso said that it was a way of promoting Tenerife itself, too, for very little investment, and given that the publication has a coverage of some 150,000 readers, will offer yet another "niche" look at the island from a tourism perspective to a wide audience. The feature will include food products and recipes, as well as wines, restaurants, honey and cookery workshops. JA

Before anyone else purchases the magazine pictured I think the Tenerife stuff will actually be in the next issue. The issue pictured advertises that in the next issue will be something entitled 'Fiesta forever' which sounds a little like it could be something to do with Tenerife.

It wasn't on the magazine shelves at Sainsbury's on Saturday, will look again this coming weekend.

Purchased this magazine in Sainsbury's today and look forward to reading the article on Tenerife.
