I don't know what it's about, but it looks highly appropriate considering Halloween is just around the corner! San Miguel de Abona is holding a Noche del Miedo – "Fright Night" – on Friday, 15 November, in the Llano del Camello Cultural Centre. The event starts at 8pm, and since space is limited, those interested need to register in order to go. Call 922 167 791. Transport has apparently been laid on for anyone coming from within San Miguel municipality itself. Given the subject of the event, children under 12, pregnant women, diabetics and those with heart conditions are not permitted to attend. The map below shows the location of the Cultural Centre, which is in Calle Tomas Cruz, Las Chafiras. JA

I don't read Spanish but that picture reminds me of a scene from The Exorcist when the priest approaches the house for the first time.  :eyepop:

Sorry mac, the Spanish says:

Noche del miedo  - night of fear (fright night, as I've paraphrased it)
Ni mires debajo de la cama - don't look under the bed!

The bit at the bottom just says when and where, and that the faint hearted (pregnant women etc :D) aren't allowed in.

(And yes, it's Regan from the Exorcist ... you're right, I think!)  :D
