Man found dead on public street in El Médano

A 67-year-old man was found dead on a bench in Calle Brasil in El Médano shortly before midday.  Emergency services received several calls about the grim discovery, but the paramedics who arrived at the scene were sadly able to do no more than confirm the poor man's death at the scene. The Guardia Civil arranged for the body to be removed and presumably an autopsy will be carried out to investigate the cause of death. JA

well I'm glad you said that, mac, because it was what I was thinking ..... and everyone on FB has been saying "oh what a sad way to go" ...

I was a bit surprised, really, that they should think that, because to go non-violently, while sitting peacefully looking at the sea ...

I can indeed think of plenty worse ways to go!
