My kingdom for a tube of 'Copperslip'

The brakes on the car have developed a squeal. Now since I don't do much driving it doesn't bother me. The wife however! I have tried all the old excuses like, 'Let it devope' and 'There only bedding in' or 'Turn the radio up' and the best 'What noise'? But she refuses to be satisfied. So I need a tube of 'Copperslip'
Its a high melting point grease and a dab of the stuff on the rear of the brake pads should silence the squeal. The problem is that every mechanical type I have asked over here has give me a vacant look. Even the brother in law whose an engineer shakes his head. I know its sold in Spain as 'Copperslip' just seems not in Tenerife.
So does anyone know a British mechanic or garage owner who I could contact so I could ask them if they have any or what they use over here in its place.
I would be most grateful at it would put a stop to this squealing in my ears. It would also help me fix the noisy brakes!!! :D

You could try Mark Francis ... he runs a mechanic workshop in south Tenerife called Ashro Motors. His website is HERE.

Thanks Janet will give them a ring tomorrow.

That is strange because it is readily available on Amazon.co.uk but not on Amazon.es I'm guessing it must be called something very different in Spanish, I would be interested to know.

G, the name might not have meant anything to you, but he's the other half of Colleen (Jackie) from the old forums ... he serviced our car the other day, and is fine and reasonable.  :tiphat:
