Madrid casting agency A primera Figuración is looking for 150 extras to take part in La ignorancia de la sangre, a film being shot, in Tenerife, between 28 October and 7 November. The movie, based on the last of Richard Wilson's Javier Falcón novels, The Ignorance of Blood, stars Hugo Silva, Paz Vega and Juan Diego Botto, and will be filmed in La Laguna, Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz and Adeje.

The agency says that they need as many applicants as possible, of all ages and appearances. They are also, however, looking specifically for nine particular extras: six  men, three who look Russian and one who looks Moroccan; two girls who could look like dancers; and a child who could double for an eight year old actor.

Anyone interested must apply and register on the Registro de Candidatos tab of the official website (link above) or by email to aprimera.hector@gmail.com. Wages will be €30 net per day, with alta in social security included. As ever, this is not connected with me in any way, I am merely passing on the information. Please do not contact me to apply or for any further details. JA

The money isn't great.

A friend of mine got £170 for ten minutes work yesterday on Game of Thrones which is filmed here.

Just saying.  :giggle:
[countdown=01,06,2021,13,30][/countdown] until I return to Tenerife!

I got €30 for the day as an extra in "Una Hora Mas en Canarias".  It's long, boring work though, standing around in the sun for most of the day, scorching, waiting for the scene to be set up then having to do the same thing (in my case crossing a road) over and over and over again until the director is happy with it.  Of course, every time one of the principal actors fluffs or the director gets a better for what they should be doing, you have to do it all over again. There's no glamour for the extras.
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

There's the difference. My friend Gavin complained he stood around in the rain all day.  :giggle:

Count me out on this one.  I don't look like any of the required looks.
