Anybody else been on the receiving end of Movistar calls along these lines?

1.  OH answers in English this morning.  Doesn't understand a word except in the end "do you speak Spanish?" Answer: "pequeño". (His level)   CLICK - call terminated.

2.  I answer this evening, and it all goes in Spanish:

"I want to speak to..."
"That's me"
"We want to talk to you about/sell you/blah blah blah"
"I don't want to buy anything or change anything"
"Hablas español?"
"Claro que hablo español"
CLICK!!!!!!

I think the fuckers don't get a black mark if the people they reach don't speak Spanish.  So they ask the question to be able to tick a box.

Anyone else have such an experience?

Not had a call like that for ages Myrtle. We do get the automated dialler calls ring twice then cut off. The only thing I had the other day was a text from Carriefour! telling me about their offers. The thing is the only people who have my mobile number are my son and wife!
