The concejal de Servicios Municipales in Adeje, Gonzalo Delgado Díaz, has announced that over the coming week some 29 new recycling bins similar to the above image will appear around the municipality. The bins are specifically for clothes and shoes, and the installations are hoped to help Adeje become a recycling and ecological paradigm for the Canaries. The business Canarias Recycling will run the scheme for the Ayuntamiento, and will be placing the containers in Adeje town centre, Los Olivos, Las Nieves, Las Torres, Tijoco, Los Menores, Las Rosas, Armeñime, Sueño Azul, Callao Salvaje, Playa Paraíso, Fañabé, La Caleta, El Madroñal, Miraverde, Roque del Conde and Torviscas Alto.
