This makes for encouraging reading. I've just learned a new verb, desplomarse = collapse. This is apparently what the bullfighting business is doing.

They attribute it to a combination of causes, mainly that people are skint and there is no bullfighting on TV. Oddly, one possible explanation, that people are actually beginning to think it is barbaric, does not appear.

This is talking about Spain. South America, where by far the most bullfighting goes on, is not mentioned.
