La Fiesta de los Vinos in Puertito de Güímar this Friday

Güímar wines are among my favourite Canarian wines, and this Friday, 25 August, there's a chance to try quite a few of them at the Fiesta de los Vinos in Puertito de Güímar. The event starts at 7pm in the Plaza de las Indias and is organized by the Ayuntamiento as part of the project Saborea Güímar, aiming to bring local products to a wider audience. It is supported by the Cabildo, and several Güímar bodegas will be taking part, along with some from Cumbres de Abona, another area with some spectacular wines. There will be lots of local foods and tapas on offer too, and it's a good opportunity, perhaps, also to get to know this lovely little seaside resort.
