Two sad deaths in Tenerife in 24 hours

A 53-year-old driver died yesterday morning after his car crashed into a wall on the TF281 El Volcán to La Hidalga road in Arafo. Emergency services say that they were called out shortly before 6am with reports that the driver had been trapped in the vehicle after the accident, but sadly ambulance crew could only confirm his death at the scene.

And this morning in Santa Cruz, police say that the body of a woman aged around 50 was found around 8am in some works sheds at Playa de Las Teresitas where it appears she had been squatting. Medics attending have confirmed that she was dead when found and police are waiting for the Courts to approve the removal of the body.
