A 56-year-old Iranian man was detained by National Police based at TFS a week ago after trying to fly to the UK on a false passport. Police say that the man presented a Greek passport which appeared false, and which transpired on investigation to have been bought along with an ID card to allow the man to enter the UK illegally with a supposed EU passport rather than the visa the UK requires for Iranian visitors. The man is being held in Tenerife in a Foreigner Internment Centre while the case is being processed.

which rather begs the question: how did he get into Tenerife?  I know the Tenerife border control officers are happy for arrivals to just flash their passports, which is crazy compared with the UK that scans every passport, but surely they're a bit more stringent with non-EU arrivals??
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.
