Fifth Costa Adeje Bay Swim Saturday 20 May

There might be rather more swimmers around on the Costa Adeje shortly because the fifth Costa Adeje Bay Swim will be taking place on Saturday, 20 May. Adeje Ayuntamiento says that some 200 swimmers have signed up to take part, with even more international swimmers attending this year as the swim increases in popularity year on year. As before, there are two distances: the original 1,300m swim has been replaced by a 2.8km race, a distance apparently close to that of a Triathlon; the longer distance is 7,500m.  Just a reminder of this bay swim for anyone in the general Adeje coast area tomorrow afternoon. The starting times are 4pm for the longer distance from playa de Ajabo in Callao Salvaje, and 5pm for the short travesía from playa de la Enramada in La Caleta, both to Playa Fañabe.
