Police say that they are searching again for 31-year-old José Arias, known as "el Volcán" after he attacked his girlfriend and trashed her caravan and shack in El Puertito, Adeje, last Wednesday. He appears to have gone straight to her after leaving the Arona Courts where he had appeared in an initial hearing for another violent outburst. If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, the police will be grateful for it. Again.

There's a brief history of this man's activities HERE ...

I'd sure as hell feel safer if he were locked up again.

Police say that el Volcán has been arrested in Adeje by the Guardia Civil and Policía Local, and that that the already extensive criminal record of this slippery and dangerous character will now be increased yet again with the latest two outbursts, the first in Callao Salvaje, for which he was in Court on Wednesday, and the attack on his girlfriend's property which he trashed and then set on fire immediately after the Courts had released him on bail. Police admit that even with these antecedents, unless he kills someone or is committed, there is little they can do other than round him up each time and deliver him to the Courts, which themselves are limited by statutory sentencing guidelines.

It's a damned shame somebody may have to die in order to get this scumbag off the streets.

I was timing the delay until Myrtle posted on this thread.

Methinks Spain, like the UK, needs a 'three strikes rule'.
