As anyone else in the Adeje area had a deduction from their bank account for this? If so, can you shed any light on what it is for. I have certainly never paid it before.

It doesn't. My bank statements are in English! The payment goes to Adeje Town Hall though.

Unless you're signed up to do some kind of course, that sounds like a bad translation somewhere along the line, but I can't think what it might be.  Are there no other details given?  Can you see any more in your online banking, such as a calculation breakdown or a reference?  If not, you could try asking your bank, in case they've learned what it is through other customers, otherwise you're better contacting Adeje ayuntamiento directly for them to explain.

I have been on-line to view my account and the payment shows 'Estudios Reglados'. It still means nothing too me. My daughter has checked her account and she also has a deduction for the same thing!!!

Ok, well "estudios" means studies and not necessarily in the sense of education.  It could mean a survey or even a credit check!  Is there no other information given?  If you go into the Bills/Recibos/Domiciliaciones part of your online banking you should be able to access more details.  Even a reference number can give some clues.

What is your relation to Adeje ayuntamiento?  Presumably you have a property there or a car registered there?  And your daughter has the same?  It might help if you told us how much the charge is?

Note also that if the charge was taken in error, you have only 8 weeks to ask your bank to return the direct debit.
