Woman drowns at Puertito de Güímar

A 70-year-old woman drowned at midday today in Puertito de Güímar. Emergency services received a call for help after the poor soul was pulled unconscious from the water. Fellow bathers tried to resuscitate her, their efforts being taken up by paramedics on their arrival, but they were unable to bring her back and she was sadly declared dead at the scene. JA
