A short topic of conversation around the coffee table this morning in relation to the Tunisian murders. One old git was saying how many of the tourist who were going to Tunisia are now coming here. The general consensus was, We're a bloody target now!! It went very quite for a few seconds until someone changed the subject.

I don't think we are. They're not following the tourists, they are focused on Muslim lands ... aka Islamic State ...

Why the fuck anyone would go to a Muslim country on holiday I do not know ...

Agreed Janet! As the wife says 'They couldn't pay me enough to go to any of those countries'

That decision was taken out of my hands 35 years ago.

My wife is a Hindu.  :giggle:

I don't think we are.

I do

- In 30 minutes they have destroyed the economy of the only precariously democratic Muslim state. This was a huge success.
- In terms of terror 10/10. Old people and families lazing on the sun-kissed shores of the Mediterranean
- This isn't going to be forgotten in the same way as the museum one and the Egyptian ones. An all round propaganda success
- ISIL have declared that they are going to re-conquer the south of Spain - and there are long standing African claims on these islands.
- It would be so easy. I can't see the Policia Local de Arona getting in the way . . . .

Which leads me to believe that the problem here would be the Spanish security infrastructure, not the Muslims. Please note that the totally unarmed Tunisian hotel workers were protecting the tourists with their bodies, they saved a lot of people. They are Muslims.
