Drink driving Briton arrested

I haven't noticed it in the local Spanish press, but Island Connections (link) is today reporting that a British man has been arrested for drink driving.

Apparently, officers tried to stop his car after noticing that the rear door was open and that an argument was taking place inside, but the driver sped off and forced other motorists to take evasive action as he tried to get away from the police near the football stadium.

After several other patrols joined in the chase, the man, said to be 20 years old, stopped the car and tried to run away on foot but was caught, and found to be four times over the legal limit. JA
