Proposed shopping mall in Adeje

Not that many years ago we had 1 large supermarket in Bangor (population 60,000). I had the misfortune to have to go there one Christmas Eve. It took me 40 minutes to get into the car park and another 30 to get parked. The mall was heaving inside. The queues in Tesco snaked half way round the store and the managers had given up the struggle and were taking guesstimates on the value of goods in people's trolleys. It was a fucking nightmare.

Nowadays we have 2 large Tescos, a Sainsburys, an Asda and a Lidl. When again I had to visit on Christmas Eve I was amazed. The place was half empty. I've seen busier Saturdays.

There's a moral in there somewhere.
