We bought new mattress bases the other day and now need to get rid of the old ones.  Question is, what is the recommended way to do it?  Drive them to the punto limpio/punta limpia, whichever it is?  Dump them on an empty piece of ground and wait for the municipal truck to come around as we see them do?  Phone the ayuntamiento?

We also have two duff cookers which were left behind here and some other crap.  Not stuff which fits into the bins.  Time to get rid of them too but how?

If it makes a difference, we live in Guía de Isora.

Offer them on the FB Wanted group.  That lot will take anything if it's free  :great:

Trip to the tip I think Myrtle. But if its anything like Guimar you are only allowed one trip a week.

There is a tip at the Adeje roundabout (end of the motorway). Turn down towards Los Gigantes and it is immediately on your right. That's where (I understand) one is supposed to take old electrical machinery and household dump rubbish.

Pelinor I have no idea where the tip is here but the place Janet is talking about is the punto limpio where I was thinking of taking the stuff.

Nova I would be a bit creeped out if somebody wanted our 20 year old mattresses.....

You're not familiar with that corner of FB then  :giggle:

A delivery driver put our old mattress out on the pavement by his lorry while he delivered out new bed ... this was a few years ago now. By the time he'd installed the new bed and got back to his lorry to load up the old bed, it had disappeared ...
