Edit: Briefly reminded of my Auntie Ada. I hadn't been veggie very long when we visited and as she was looking in the fridge for something to feed us she pulled out a pack of Churnton cheese. I can have that, I said, it's vegetarian. Suddenly my Auntie Ada looked very worried and said with a tremble in her voice "oh, I've been eating it!"

Apologies for anyone who had a wasted journey. The date of the Arona Oktoberfest was changed without any formal announcement. It has not been this weekend. It is 25 & 26 October. I've left the original poster in the post above otherwise I'd think I'd been dreaming ...
