A three--year-old boy is in hospital this evening after nearly drowning in the Paradise Park hotel's swimming pool. Emergency services were called out shortly before 1pm after the child was pulled unconscious out of the water, and after stabilizing him at the scene, paramedics transferred him to Hospitén Sur, where he remains in serious condition. I know it's too early to jump to conclusions but how the hell does a three-year old nearly drown whilst under parental supervision?  And if he wasn't under parental supervision.... I hope the parents will be charged with something appropriate  :scowl:
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

Unfortunately most parents these days do not consider supervising their own children is their responsibility.

The hotel has responded to the report on my website with the following excellent news:

On behalf of the hotel Paradise Park, we would like to inform that the child is in perfect state, safe and sound back in the hotel. The child was reanimated by our lifeguard before the ambulance service arrived. Nevertheless, he was hospitalized as he had to be under observation just for precaution. Likewise we also would like to highlight that the hotel follows the Canarian Community norms and legislation regarding the health and safety aspects of the lifeguard and pools.
