British man in Candelaria hospital after brain haemorrhage caused by beating by fellow Briton

A British man has been in Candelaria hospital since last Friday with serious injuries apparently acquired after a beating he received from a fellow Briton in Playa de Las Américas. Officers of the Canarian police assisted the victim who had suffered a brain haemorrhage as the result of the attack. His attacker was also arrested and has been transferred to the jurisdiction of the National Police. Enquiries are continuing, and meanwhile the injured man remains in hospital in a serious condition.
