Another motorcyclist fighting for life after coming off his bike in Vera de Erques

A 32-year-old motorcyclist has suffered serious head injuries after coming off his motorbike around 12.30 this lunchtime in Vera de Erques, Guía de Isora. Emergency services were called out and paramedics stabilized and immobilized him at the scene before transferring him to Candelaria hospital, where he remains in a very serious condition.  It was only last Monday that a German motorcyclist was seriously injured while riding through the Teide national park (link): he is said still to be critically ill in HUC. There is a group of four motorcyclists that blast up and down the Vera road on weekends; we have been nearly wiped out by them as they are heedless to anything but speed.
