Emergency services say that overnight five lost walkers were rescued in two separate operations in the peaks of Teide. Both groups were reported as missing last evening, and it was only at 2am that all were recovered and said to be safe and sound. Extensive police, bomberos, national park, red cross and medical search resources were required to locate the two groups: the first involved three German walkers of 42, 43 and 46, and the other, on the other side of the national park, an American adult of 53 with a child of 11.
