Christmas charity market in El Médano this Saturday evening - can you spare just one cent?

There will be a Mercadillo Navideño Benéfico in Plaza Galicia in El Médano this Saturday, 4 January, between 6 and 11pm. Apart from stalls, music, artisan products, wine and cheese tastings, and other attractions, the idea is that people bring toys and small change, particularly cents: such a tiny amount, and yet it will mount up and monies and toys will be collected and distributed to the neediest in time for King's Day on the 6th to make their main day of the Christmas period a little brighter than it might otherwise have been.

The fair is a collaborative effort between the Asociación de Empresarios Turísticos de Granadilla de Abona, Granadilla's Turismo and Participación Ciudadana departments, the Bocinegro de El Médano neighbourhood association, Cruz Roja de Granadilla de Abona, and the Asociación 'Se Busca a Robin Hood'.
