My Bank Emailed me as well, but no video

Following Myrtle's email about her bank sending her a video, I would like to post what my bank sent me within the last week. I'm going to complain as I never received a video and both the 'Further Details' on the email respond with a '404' error.

Saying they are leaders in Banca Privada doesn't say anything about how they treat their customers with less than €100,000 in their accounts

No worse than any other Spanish bank I doubt

Banks in Spain

I have a question. Possibly a really dumb one. 

I assume that if you live in Tenerife you have to get a  Spanish bank account by law?

Otherwise I really can't see much point in having one.

No, it isn't a legal requirement but you have a long queue in the bank every month to pay your bills, rent etc if you don't have an account for the direct debits.  Plus these days you need to prove you have so much in savings held in a Spanish bank account to even be able to apply for "residency" that now isn't residency but with the requirement for financial proof now looks more like it.
