What is wrong with politics in Spain?

One thing that's wrong is that they just have no idea, and think that this - the video below - is somehow appropriate, or avant garde! It's the wife of a mayor singing a song praising his term in office, and listing his "achievements", for example cleaning the beaches, giving allotments to the elderly, saying happy birthday to them,  ...

It's a PP (conservative) mayor. Maybe they think they'll be able to fight Podemos at their own snazzy social media game ..... yeah right ... !!

Most politicians here are calling this "cringeworthy", so some at least know the limitations to their popularity! But many don't. This is worthy of Annie Bottle herself ...

Treat the voters like ignorant children . . . oh dear, I think they're growing up, they are certainly better informed.

I don't think Podemos are fighting the municipal elections though.

I can only assume that the audience to this............. whatever, are all her and her husbands relations. Who in true Spanish style will be employed by them in the council. It is jaw droppingly, head in hands shakingly bad.

At least it seems that the judicial system are sometimes reasonable. This guy could have got 10 years and 1,000 lashes if he were at the other end of the Mediterranean.
