They reckon here that there are 125,000 cases in the Canaries of people working and not paying social security payments or income tax. This makes the Canaries the second highest region in Spain for working under the radar.

Until they revise their idiotic social security laws and labour laws, I don't find it surprising. Their system seems designed to reduce people to working illegally because they just can't afford to be legal.
